It says Prokofiev on the cover, but it also says Pavel Haas Quartet. MusicBrainz (and I) would consider these to both be part of the Album Artist rather than the Album Title. Usually the Album Title + Album Artist is enough to identify the album but just looking at the title alone can be problematic.
Often its not really quite clear from the cover if the composer is part of the title or not, and therefore whether it is included in MusicBrainz album title or not is similarly vague.
And of course if user has option to remove Composer from AlbumArtist then you can't see the composer in the AlbumArtist field either.
This option (enabled by default) checks the current album title of a release identified as Classical and if it does not seem to contain any composers the composers are prepended to the front of the title, surname only separated by ';'s with a ': to separate from title. UNLESS there are ten composers or more in which case the album title is not modified.
We use composers at album level unless their are not any then we have to traipse through the track artist composers, and then make sure the same composers are added for every track album title so the songs remain grouped together.
If the release is also a soundtrack (i.e A Clockwork Orange) then we dont modify the album title because the purpose of adding to the title is to help identify the work and this is not needed when it is a soundtrack album.
